Chee Hok Yean. President Asia Pacific. HVS

Laura has been my financial consultant since 2002. She has provided very customised and holistic financial planning advice for me, especially in the area of retirement planning. I enjoy working with her because she makes sure she understands my situation and needs first before crafting a solution for me. Her explanations are clear and she provides options in different perspectives and is not pushy in her approach. I am glad to have found somebody I can trust to help me manage my financial planning portfolio.

Gerard Tong . Director, Epitrain Pte Ltd Adjunct Professor. SMU, NUS

Let me start by saying I am not an easy person to deal with. I am impatient, opinionated and stubborn. The fact that Laura has been servicing me since 2004, and is the only Financial Advisor whom I have bothered to speak more than 5 words to, speaks volumes of her approach, presentation and knowledge. From the start, I made it clear that as a (now retired) financial market professional, I was not interested to hear about investment-linked policies, believing that I could do a better job that the fund managers. Laura kept that in mind, and respected that, occasionally making a passing recommendation on a fund she felt was really worth looking at, but immediately putting that aside as soon as I impatiently gave her a dismissive wave. Instead, she focused on building up a portfolio of policies which covered other critical areas, such as death, sickness, mortgage protection and such. Never over-selling, she would not push more coverage than was required to me. Not the sort of insurance agent to close a deal, collect their commission and forget the client, Laura readily advised and assisted with claims, and consistently checked up on my situation in life, personal and financial to review my coverage, even advising me on my plans to scale back as my coverage requirements shrank with age. Just this month, after identifying that I was losing interest in managing my own money, but still wanting superior returns, she sold me a bond fund policy, after years of watching my dismissive hand. It shows great professionalism, keeping mum about investment-linked policies all these years, but always keeping a look out for changes in my life state, and bringing it up again when it has become appropriate. If you’re looking for a professional, competent, reliable Financial Advisor (in truth, we all NEED one, even if we have not realised it yet), who genuinely cares about you, then look no further.

Yvonne Tan. Fitness Instructor

I first got to know Laura in 2022 when she came to me to embark on her fitness journey. As a Financial consultant, Laura is very sincere and has the ability to convey her recommendations in a very digestible, easy-to-understand format. Through her review session with me, she was able to 1. Give me a Birds Eye view of my overall financial position. 2. Identify the gaps that I was unaware of 3. Consolidate a clear summary and develop a comprehensive action plan. My experience with her has been enriching. She is knowledgeable and informative and most importantly, does not pressure me to make any decisions. I would strongly recommend her to meet anyone who needs a competent financial consultant who puts your needs first and lets you make your decision without pressure.

I’ve been with Laura for more than a decade, and my experience with her has always been reassuring and positive. She is consistent, patient, and someone I know I can rely on whenever I need clarity or support. What makes her different from other financial consultants is her sincerity and the way she explains things in a simple, transparent manner. She never rushes through discussions and always puts my needs first. I chose Laura because I trust her. She has been steady throughout different stages of my life, and her advice has always been thoughtful and timely. One memorable moment that stands out for me is how she supported me during a major life transition when I fell sick. Thanks to her encouragement to enhance my critical illness coverage earlier on, the policy came in at the right time—just a year later—when I needed it most. She checked in, guided me patiently through the process, and made everything so much easier during a very difficult period.

Gabriel Borgon, Lead Commissioning and Qualification Engineer

I’ve been with Laura for almost 10 years, and in that time she’s always taken care of my insurance needs with clarity and care. She explains everything in a way that makes it easy to understand and always keeps me updated when better options become available. I first came to her through a friend’s recommendation, and I’ve been thankful ever since. One moment that really stood out was when part of a claim was initially rejected—Laura didn’t back down, pushed on my behalf, and got it covered. That kind of dedication gives me real peace of mind and shows the difference she makes.

Lilian Chang. NTUC Enterprise.

I have known Laura as a software vendor in 2004 when I was working in an IT firm. Laura has a truthful personality, and we became good friends very quickly. We continued to keep in touch even when both of us left our jobs. She became my financial consultant when she joined Prudential and helped me look into both my hubby and my portfolio to plan for my retirement. Kids were young then, and good financial planning was very important. With Laura's help, my family's investments and health protection plans were in good hands. Laura is helpful and goes the extra mile to explain and assess plans I have and helped me set milestones. Over the years, Laura has become a family friend. My children are now grown ups and Laura has started guiding them with their financial planning patiently. To me, she is not just a FC, she is already a friend whom I trust with my financial planning. Laura is a person whom you can go to and trust, as she has your interests in mind.
